Time Management for Writers

You want to write, but where do you find the time? Even if you find the time, what about the energy? It can be overwhelming, to the point that most people give up or dilly-dally for decades, never quite reaching their goals. NYT Bestselling middle-grade author Liesl Shurtliff will speak about time management for writers. She’s written seven novels over the past decade while raising four kids and juggling many hats and schedules. She’ll touch on subjects from prioritization and organization of time, creative mindset, and proven methods to beat procrastination and get the most bang for your buck, er, hour. Come join the conversation! Q&A will follow the presentation.

Guest Speaker, Liesl Shurtliff

Liesl Shurtliff is the New York Times bestselling author of the (Fairly) True Tales series and the Time Castaways series. Her books have been named to several state award lists and have won many awards including a Children’s Book Award from the International Literacy Association. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Liesl has called Chicago home for fifteen years. She and her husband have four children who have inspired many characters in Liesl’s books, both hero and villain.
