SCBWI-IL PAL and Published Members, please join us for a Food for Thought presentation

with Tracy van Straaten, former head of publicity for Scholastic’s Trade publishing division and now President and CEO of TvS Media Group, LLC.

Tracy will discuss a publicist’s role in modern book publishing. She’ll talk about what publicists do, how they do it, and what she’s learned along the course of her career. In addition, she’ll answer questions about the logistics of hiring a publicist.

Be Well & Well-Informed: SCBWI-IL Events & COVID-19

Your health and that of our SCBWI-IL  community is important to us!  As we are sure most of you have heard by now, the Novel CoronaVirus has recently emerged in small but growing numbers in the U.S.  While only a handful of cases have been reported in Illinois at this time, we know that could change any day.  Therefore, we are taking great care in prevention!
