SCBWI-IL PAL and Published Members,
please join us for a Food for Thought presentation

with the fabulous Angie Gaul, Anderson’s Bookstore’s Authors in Schools Coordinator.

 

Angie plans to discuss the history of Anderson’s Bookstores’ Authors in Schools program, how it works, and what she’s looking for in local authors. She’ll also talk about what she wishes local authors knew about her job, Anderson’s, and the publishing market in general.

 

 

Food for Thought is occasional programming for Independently & PAL Published SCBWI Members


No walk-ins: Free registration on this page beginning August 23.
–Coffee and water will be provided: Attendees with last names beginning with the letters A-L are asked to bring a snack to share.

–Public transportation & Parking:  Free parking in lot.  Lisle Metra Station is 1.1 miles away, a 21 minute walk. Feel free to use the Listserv to arrange car-pool.

— The Lisle Recreation Center is barrier-free:  If you have a disability and require a support person in order to be able to take advantage of this event, please register yourself AND email the Registrar to ask for assistance in registering your support person. Space limitations require us to register support personnel; however, there is no fee.

 

Registration open to PAL and Full (Independently Published) Members from August 23 to September 20.
Remember, upgrading your SCBWI Member Status to PAL  or FULL is as easy as a few clicks!   If you’ve signed a contract for an upcoming PAL book or magazine article or have published an independent book, log into www.Illinois.scbwi.org and go to your MEMBER PROFILE page.  Here, you can upload your new title into the bookstore.  This will automatically upgrade your member status to PAL or Full!  Take advantage of all that your SCBWI membership has to offer and update your member status by logging into your SCBWI MEMBER PROFILE today!
