Book Drive for SCBWI-IL Diversity Outreach
All children deserve to see themselves in their favorite stories. To further this mission, we are asking our generous Spring Thaw attendees to bring a new book for donation. Please consider donating a diverse book or one by a diverse creator. SCBWI-IL will use collected books as giveaways and prizes at its booth at community literary and back-to-school book fairs and festivals, many with a diversity focus. SCBWI-IL uses the definition of “diverse” as provided by the We Need Diverse Books’ definition of “diversity.”
