The Prairie Prize: Congratulations Gabriella Vagnoli for #FullZoomAhead

The Prairie Prize is awarded to the member illustrator and winner of the fall conference masthead contest.  The conference committee decides upon a theme for that year’s event.  The Prairie Prize is open to all SCBWI-IL members to illustrate the masthead banner based on the chosen theme. All entries are placed into an online gallery on the SCBWI-IL website and are voted on by fellow SCBWI-Illinois members.  The deadline is July 1 and voting takes place thereafter.  The winning illustrator will be credited wherever winning design is used to promote the event and will receive The Prairie Prize: attendance to and (2) fee-paid critiques to the fall conference.  The Prairie Prize is sponsored by a generous Illinois member benefactor.

The Prairie Prize is nontransferable. All applicants should make sure that they can attend the fall conference.  No cash equivalent will be awarded.

The Kathryn O’Connor Memorial Scholarship: Congratulations Debra Daugherty, Representative, Springfield Network Scribes

This scholarship is supported by SCBWI-IL.
