Sibert Honoree, Suzanne Slade, is the author of 170 children’s books and a mechanical engineer. Many of her titles are about women in STEM, space, Chicago heroes, and other exciting topics. Her book, Astronaut Annie, flew to the Space Station where it was read by an astronaut for the Story Time From Space Program. Website:
